Description
"The Dream Bringer"
Took a day off and on sketching then drawing it up on the black paper - used oil pastels for the first time.
This is just a practise for color theroy and pastels - never worked with either much before this.

Well, I said I'd give you an honest comment, and the first thing I notice is the tiny image file. C'mon, post a bit bigger one, and show off those strokes!
The image itself, then, is quite complex in terms of depth and perspective - various 'flat' aspects mixed with a more shaded, rounded figure. Perhaps a bit of playing with shadows over/from the flat objects would help make this piece more dynamic, and thereby more attracting?
Next to that, there's also a very vast contrast in color. Try going with a more playful palette, mixing it up as you go, twisting the colors to bring out more emotion. The large area's of black need some love too, y'know.
That's, sadly, all I can say. if you have a bigger image up, let me know, and I'll gladly have another run.
